Standard checklist - flow meter support

This list of questions is essential to provide the right support. It helps us to be of quicker assistance, as we have a complete picture of the situation.

Process:
  • Inner Diameter of the pipe
  • Upstream length
  • Downstream length
  • Average pressure in the system
  • Min, max, average flow
  • Min, max, average temperature
  • Air/gas quality; wet or dry
Location:
  • P & ID or sketch of the installation
  • Photo environment, with the flow meter on it, to check the location and the surroundings
  • Inside or outside location, if outside is it exposed to sun/ rain etc?
  • How in the tube: Veritcal, horizontal installation?
    • In vertical pipe: rising or falling flow?
    • In horizontal pipe: is it at two o' clock or is it mounted at the top, or bottom?
Signals:
  • What output is used: Display, 4 ... 20 mA, RS485, Ethernet? Data logger?
    • if 4.. 20 mA: do the math by hand, check if the output signal in mA corresponds with the measured value, and the 4 .. 20 mA max/ min settings
    • If RS485: Do you experience communication problems? Did you check power supply at the meter? Is it at least 14 Volt ?
    • If data logger present: Data log file available? Please send the file (CSV)
